My mom smothered me too much

My mom smothered me too much when I was a child.
She interferred with all my decisions, my friends, choices, affairs, clothing, etc.

I left home when I could to go to college as soon as I could.

Later in my life (I'm 46 now) it took a lot of reading, seminars, therapy and more to come to terms with this smothered childhood.
